Ya por fin podemos poner fin a la ola de rumores que nos arropó en estas últimas semanas relacionadas a este esperado dispositivo. Finalmente el día de hoy Samsung hizo oficial la llegada de la Note 3, la sucesora de la “Phablet” más exitosa sin duda alguna. Ya sabíamos muchas cosas de esta nueva edición de la Galaxy Note (Lee nuestro resumen previo a la presentación aquí), pero definitivamente es bueno tener la certeza de lo que realmente hay en la Note 3.
El protagonista de esta presentación fue definitivamente el S-Pen, el cual figura como el elemento principal y distintivo de este phablet. EL mismo recibe un rediseño, más parecido al Galaxy S4, más cuadrado que la Note 2 y en la parte trasera ahora lleva una especie de piel cubriendo la tapa para la batería, dando un toque diferente y en mi opinión algo más clásico y elegante. La pantalla de la misma también recibe un aumento de tamaño y mejor resolición. Otro aspecto importante que recibe mejoras es la cámara y la batería. Touchwiz ahora viene acompañado de nuevas funciones y mejoras a las ya existentes.
Esta vez TouchWiz se desplazará con una gran cantidad de funciones añadidas a donde quiera que vayamos en Android llamadas Air Command: Action Memo nos permite tomar notas a mano alzada y luego convertirlas a un mejor formato, Scrapbook buscará información por nosotros de una gran cantidad de sitios, Screen Write captura la pantalla y nos deja tomar notas a mano alzada antes de guardar la captura, S-Finder buscará lo que queramos en nuestro teléfono, Pen Window abrirá una ventana en la pantalla del tamaño que marquemos para multitarea… la mayoría de ellas se apoyan en el S-Pen para funcionar, así que parece que esta vez va a tener más protagonismo que en ningún otro Note.

Users can activate Samsung KNOX with ease which allows them to run and store security-sensitive applications and data inside a protected execution environment called “container.” The security inside the container is strengthened by system-level protection of Samsung KNOX against malware and phishing attacks as well as hacking attempts on physical devices when devices are stolen or lost. For instance, important personal pictures or video can be stored in the container with no worries for data leakage due to hacking. In addition, users may choose to store enterprise applications and data such as corporate email, contacts and calendar and allow the IT department to manage the container through EAS (Exchange ActiveSync Server). These features make the GALAXY Note 3 an ideal device for BYOD (Bring-Your-Own-Device to work)
Furthermore, the GALAXY Note 3 is equipped with an improved Find My Mobile feature that allows users to disable the phone when it is stolen or lost.
