Según el analista Chris Dring, el juego de Pokémon sufrió problemas de stock en tiendas, lo que provocó que sus ventas físicas fueran menos de la mitad de las de Pokémon Legends Z-A, con muchas tiendas y webs como Amazon o GAME sin unidades disponibles.
