El medio informativo Hollywood Reporter ha compartido una nueva nota afirmando que Kathryn Newton aparecerá en la tan esperada película Detective Pikachu como la protagonista femenina.
El sitio agrega que las estrellas de Stranger Things, Natalia Dyer, Haley, Lu Richardson y Katherine Langford de 13 Reasons Why también fueron consideradas para el papel, aunque no se explica por qué se eligió en concreto a Kathryn Newton. En lo que respecta a su papel, Hollywood Reporter dice que actuará como Lucy, “una descarada reportera” que ahora ha conseguido a un nuevo compañero, Psyduck.
Lucy tendrá que partir en una aventura con Pikachu y el protagonista masculino, quien será representado por Justice Smith, como os confirmamos en una anterior oportunidad.
