Aparte de esto, hoy hemos conocido que los Golden Joystick Awards 2025 abrieron su votación pública en 21 categorías. Según el anuncio, la votación está abierta hasta el 31 de octubre de 2025, con la lista de nominados a “Juego del Año” revelada el 3 de noviembre y la ceremonia fijada para el 20 de noviembre.
Con el mayor número de nominaciones, el JRPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 compite en seis categorías, incluyendo Estudio del Año. Le siguen Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Ghost of Yōtei y Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, con cuatro nominaciones cada uno. En cuanto a Nintendo, títulos como Mario Kart World y Donkey Kong Bananza aparecen entre los nominados, participando en la categoría de Juego del Año en Consolas, mientras que Nintendo Switch 2 figura entre los candidatos a Mejor Hardware de 2025.
